Bob W. Tarkington, 81 went on to be in glory land Thursday August 31, 2017. He was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas on January 13, 1936. He leaves behind his wife Letitia(Tisha), 6 children, Andy (Paula), Nicky, Ginger (Roger), Joey (Angie), Jenny (Danny), Alicia. Also 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Jerry (Carolyn),, Jim (Janet), brother-in-law Jay (Paula) Vandiver, numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded  by his dad and mother .(Robert W. and Mary Elizabeth) a baby brother and grandson Joshua. Also by his in laws Bill and Coleene Vandiver.

He graduated class of 54 England High School, England, Arkansas. He went on to farm rice, with his dad until going in the Army in March 1955,  went to work as a driver for Greyhound Bus Lines where he received a 1 million mile safety award for safe driving. He went on to become safety director for Trailways, Inc. He earned many awards for safety.

There will be a memorial service for him at Levy Church Of Christ, 5124 Camp Robison, North Little Rock, Arkansas Sunday September 3rd at 2 p.m. .In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Levy  Church Of Christ children's ministry.

Our heart felt gratitude and thanks to the staff at John McClellan VA, Little Rock for the kindness and compassion shown the family over the last year, Also to our Ft. Roots VA staff.
