Adam Clayton Pumphrey, age 39, of England Arkansas, passed from this life, on Wednesday December 4, 2019, in Ferda Arkansas.
Adam is survived by the love of his life, Shannon Pumphrey, and his number one pride and joy, his daughter Claire Pumphrey. His Father Greg Pumphrey and wife Debbie of Little Rock, his Mother Cathy Wyatt and husband Terry of Eminence, Missouri, his Father-in-law Boyd Goldsby of England, Mother-in-law Joanne Goldsby of Lonoke, Grandmother Bobbye Brengard of Paragould, and Step-Grandmother Lela Pumphrey of Egypt. His sister Rachel Medley, stepbrother Jesse Wright, and stepsister Holly Lewis, all of Little Rock.
He is preceded in death by paternal Grandfather Norman Pumphrey and maternal grandparents Randal and Margaret Sissom.
Anyone who knew Adam, knew him as fun-loving, energetic, loud, and lovable! He was always looking for an opportunity to have a good time, crack a joke, or make someone smile! He was quick to laugh, changed his hairstyle on a whim, and loved those around him ferociously! He didn't take much seriously and usually had a song lyric to fill in the gaps of any conversation! He was a hard worker and enjoyed providing for his family! When he wasn't working you could find him hanging out with his daughter, enjoying some fishing, waiting on a deer, or taking an afternoon nap!
On August 23, 2018 Adam made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ! Shortly after, his wife Shannon also made a profession of faith, and both were baptized on September 30, 2018 at County Line Missionary Baptist Church in England Arkansas. Adam was a changed man and had a growing desire to know Christ more deeply and lead his family to do the same. Adam loved the members Of County Line and they loved him, and welcomed him and his family joyfully into their congregation.
County Line MBC will hold a memorial/celebration for family and friends, in honor of Adam, on Saturday, December 7th at 2pm at County Line Missionary Baptist Church, 2107 Hwy 256, England, AR.
