Gordon Rutledge, 82, passed away Friday, December 15th, 2017. He was born September 14th, 1935 in Huff, Arkansas to Artie (Swaims) and Eugene Rutledge. He proudly served his country in the Untied States Army. He was a grain truck driver for Jerry Hayes Trucking for 26 years. He was a member of Central Avenue Untied Methodist Church of Batesville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers with his dog Zoie.
He is survived by his wife Aubra Jean (Williams) Rutledge; his son Tim Rutledge (Jimmie) of Batesville; one sister , Bonnie Davis of Fall Brook, California; six grandchildren, Nathan, Josh, Stephanie King, Hannah, Haley and Hayden Rutledge; nine great grandchildren, Everly King, Pryce King, Ty, Addy, Elly Ann, Maci, Myia, Lillie and Georgia Rutledge
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Rutledge and Artie (Swaims) Rutledge; and one sister, Phylis Rutledge.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday December 19th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Avenue Untied Methodist Church of Batesville, with Bro. Paul Seay officiating. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Central Avenue Untied Methodist Church in Batesville.
