Addie Clingmon

Addie Loraine “Madea” Clingmon, age 89, of Humnoke, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born February 17, 1931 in Humphrey, Arkansas to the late John Wesley and Alma McKinney Jimerson. Madea as she was affectionaly called by her children and grandchildren was a people person. She absolutely loved to fish and cook. She was known all over for her cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her world. She was a member of Travellers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas Clingmon; son, James Clingmon; two grandchildren, Earnest Clingmon and James Mahomes; three brothers, T.J Jimerson, Leon Jimerson and Larry McKinney; three sister, Leola Walker, Johnetta Jimerson and Marie Coleman; daughter in-law, Rose Clingmon.

Madea is survived by children, Edward Paul Clingmon, Jewel Jones (Emanuel), Joyce Freeman (Cleveland), Thurman Clingmon (Brenda), Annie Dockery (Willie Sr), Loretta Dockery (Robert), Betty McCoy (JC), Mae Avery (Gilbert), Alma Richard, Douglas Louise Clingmon and Marilyn Clingmon; step daughter, Jessie Smith (Jefferson); sister, Linda Hampton; 23 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm. Saturday December 12, 2020 at Flynn Cemetery in Humnoke, Arkansas. Pastor Ivory Gaston officiating weather permitting. If raining we will use the Chapel at Wilson Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm Friday December 11, 2020 at the Funeral Home. We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.
