Brenda “Joyce” Cox, 78, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 8, 1947, and was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Zelma Miller, and her beloved husband, David Cox .Joyce is survived by her son Tim Griffis and wife, Denna; granddaughter Kailee Walker and husband, Ben; grandson Carson Griffis and wife, Deven, and great grandchildren Laiton, Evelyn, Davis and Madi. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Bennett; niece, Mandy Moon, and family; nephew, Mitch Thomas, and family; and a large extended Cox family.Joyce was known for her generous spirit and her love of giving thoughtful gifts to family and friends. She adored her cherished fur babies; Maggie, Bama, and Sissy, who brought her much joy and companionship.She retired from the Employee Benefits Department at St. Vincent in Little Rock, where she took great pride in her work and formed lifelong friendships. After retirement, Joyce and David moved to Carlisle, where they became proud owners of Laserplane. Together, they were a remarkable BBQ team, earning numerous awards, including a celebrated win at Memphis in May in 1991.Joyce was an avid shopper with an eye for things that “spoke to her.” She enjoyed watching French château renovation shows, documentaries, and historical programs. Above all, she was a devoted Mimi, deeply proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.Joyce will be remembered for her warm heart, generosity, and unwavering love for family. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories.
