James Fitzhugh Hargraves

James Fitzhugh Hargraves Jr. passed away in England, AR. on September 10, 2019. Jim was born in Houston, TX on December 7, 1940 to the late James Fitzhugh Hargraves and Mary Louise Blohm Hargraves.

Jim is survived by a daughter, Helen Hargraves Hillis, and son, James Fitzhugh Hargraves, III (Renee), 5 grandchildren Jeremy Hillis, Cassie Hillis  Henderson. L:ucas Hargraves , Lee Hillis and Rylee Hargraves and 3 great-grandchildren; Caleb, Hudson and Sutton Hillis, all of England, AR., sister, Ann Hargraves Lee (Robert) of Helena,, AR., brothers George Edward Hargraves (Jo) of Atoka, TN, and Robert Polk Hargraves (Leslie) of Roland, AR. and several nieces and nephews.

Jim grew up in Helena, AR. where he graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. Jim served in the U.S. Navy for four years, where he received his medical training. He was a retired LPN, having worked at the  England Hospital, Doctors Hospital and Veterans Hospital in Little Rock,

Jim especially enjoyed attending the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena and going to his cabin at Maddox Bay.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Majorie Whitworth Hargraves, son-in-law, Roger Hillis, grandson,  Christopher Hillis, all of England and brother John Hargraves of Memphis, TN.

Pallbearers will be Bob Hargraves, Eddie Hargraves, Jeremy Hillis, Lucas Hargraves, Lee Hillis, Winn Henderson, Jim Cheek and Jimmy Reed.

Services will be held at Wilson Robison Funeral Home in England, AR. Saturday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 . Interment will be at Mulberry Cemetery following the service. Wilson Robison Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
