James Hobson Obituary

James Thomas Hobson, 57, of Conway, formerly of England, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He was the son of the late Tommy and Martha (Evans) Hobson. He was born June 11, 1966, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

James was a member of the First United Methodist Church in England.  He was a Mason, a member of the Gray Dragon Motorcycle Club and a Phi Lambda Chi fraternity brother.  Although he was a real estate agent, he spent most of his time expanding his knowledge by taking classes at UCA in Conway. He had a bachelor’s degree plus many more hours of classes.  He could be described as being helpful and being a very loyal friend. He spent a lot of time with several lifelong friends riding motorcycles, hunting, and traveling, which he loved to do. Although he was a double amputee for several years, he continued to ride his motorcycle up until about 2 years ago.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Tommy Lynn Hobson. He is survived by his brother, Tommy Hobson, Jr. of England; his aunt, Vivian Peebles of Jacksonville; his nephew, Trey Hobson of Conway; his former wife, Kathryn Lacy of Sherwood; his lifelong friends, Ken Hall of Cabot; Greg Gibbs of England, Perry Cohan of Little Rock, Billy Parks of Conway, Scott Kennedy of Little Rock, John Witting of Maumelle, and Tim Sherman of Fayetteville; and several other  family members and friends in England.

James’ s services are entrusted in the care of Wilson Robison Funeral Home, 701 Pine Bluff Hwy, England. The visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2024, 100PM to 2:00PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00PM in the Chapel.
