Janis Eloise Owens

Janis Eloise Owens, 78, of North Little Rock, passed away, June 1, 2023. The daughter of the late Thurber and Eloise Arnold Owens, she was born December11, 1944, in Jonesboro.

Janis was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, a member of Civitan International, a Master Gardner, and an avid supporter of the LGBTQ Community.

 Janis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin Walraven; her son, Calvin Walraven; and grandsons, Dennis Newman and Colby Brockinton. She is survived by a brother, Randy (Debbie) Owens, of Sherman, Texas; daughters, Brandi (Red) Hutsell, Christy (David Martin) Graham, all of North Little Rock, Terri (Tim) Erickson, of Cabot, Julie (Todd) Moory,  and Amy (Tom) Kovarovic, all of Sherwood; grandchildren, Blake (Patricia) Coleman, Dustin Brockinton, Bobby (Erica) Heffner, Zachary (Nichole) Coleman, Tyler (Maeva) Erickson, A. J. Coleman, Travis (Amber) Erickson, Bailey Martin, Mitchell Martin, and Steven Moory; and 4 “great-grand sisters,” who called her “Sister,” and her beloved cat, Pippi.

Visitation will be Friday, June 16, from 6:00pm-7:30pm and Memorial services will be Saturday, June 17, at 10:30am at the First United Methodist Church, 6901 JFK Blvd, North Little Rock.
