Jerry Lee Barnett, 73, of Scott, passed away February 26, 2023. He was born May 27, 1949, in Little Rock, to Robert Silas and Bonnie Melzina King Barnett.
Jerry was a railroad engineer for Union Pacific Railroads. While he worked for the railroads, he lived in Washington State for 21 years.
Jerry was a kind and loving man, who. loved his family more than anything. He would light up when he heard his granddaughter Hadley enter the room. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casinos and, especially, golfing.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 38 years, Katie Barnett; and two brothers, Doyle and Bobby Wayne Barnett. He is survived by his son, Lee Barnett of Hot Springs; his daughter, Bonnie (Hunt) Potter of Ridgefield, Washington; a brother, Roger (Carla) Barnett of Lonoke; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Thomas and Carolyn Jean Bynum, both of Scott; granddaughter, Hadley Potter; two grandsons, William and Daniel Potter, all of Ridgefield, Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
