Jerry Wayne Nugent, 69, of Scott, AR. passed away peacefully at his home on August 6, 2018 after a short but valiant battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his son Arlin Wayne, his parents Charlie and Annie Lee Nugent, his brothers Sonny & Earl and one sister Doris.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mildred and his daughter Sarita Carver (Jim) of Keo, He is also survived by three grandchildren; Derek Carver (Karen), Tim Carver (Tieche) and Abigail Nugent (Tyler) and four great grandchildren, who all loved their "GRANDPA" very much: Beatrice, Grenly, Haydenn and Khaleesi. His surviving brothers are Donald, James and Charles Ray and his surviving sisters are Betty, Joyce and Sue.
He was a very private man who loved his family very much and would do anything for them. His kindness and willingness to help extended past family as he was often known as someone you could count on to help out in any situation. He loved to have "lively" conversations about politics, the Razorbacks and farming and was probably the biggest Elvis and Johnny Cash fan around. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are: John Ed Revils Sr., Charles Ray Nugent, Davy Nugent , Mike Hughes and Brian Wingfield. A special thank you to Dr. Jamie Burton, Holly, Pat and all of the nurses ar CARTI. It was a short battle but he kept up a good attutude until the very end. (he loved joking and kidding with them all).
