Larry Parker Obituary

Larry David Parker, age 72, of England, Arkansas, passed away July 7, 2019 after a lengthy illness at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on September 4, 1946; the only child of Elva Alma Hunter Parker.

He spent his younger years working on the horse racing circuit and his later years as a truck driver. He was hard working man who left home before daylight and returned after dark. Upon retirement, he enjoyed watching soap operas; specifically General Hospital. We teased him relentlessly because he kept up with Sonny, Carly, Jason and Sam as if they were family. Our dad had a fun, mischievous personality and a contagious laugh. He loved playing pranks and getting a rise out of his family members. He enjoyed fishing, loved being a Papa and watching us all pay for our raising.

Larry is survived by his wife of 26 years; Diane of the home. he is also survived by his children from his marriage to Sharon Kay Roberts; a son Justin  Parker and wife DeAnn of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, a daughter Allyce Parker and husband Jeremy of Elkins, Arkansas, grandchildren Brandon, Cody and Bella Parker of Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Ella  and Madden Enlow of Elkins, Arkansas.

He is also leaves behind step children whom he helped raise upon his marriage to Diane; Dawn Webb of Arizona, Robert Godwin of Fordyce, Arkansas, Carolyn Sullivan and husband Jason of Camden,  Arkansas and grandson Austin. Also David Maryatt and wife Rea of Virginia Beach, Virginia and grandson Dave,

He was preceded in death by his grandmother; Florence Hunter, uncles Doyle, Dale and Bert Hunter and his beloved mother.

At his request, no service will be held. Condolences can be sent to his wife at 112 S.W. Second Street of England, Arkansas. Wilson Robison Funeral Home of England, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
