Leon “Bill” Sladyen, 89, of England, passed from this life, Sunday, May 2, 2021. He was born January 23, 1932, in Centerville, Arkansas, to Ralph and Lona Bowden Sladyen.
He attended Southside Baptist Church in England.
After retiring from farming, he would still give a helping
hand to local farmers when help was needed. Along with
the love of farming, he enjoyed to fox hunt, garden, play dominoes and just enjoy a cup of coffee or meals with
friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; a daughter, Glenda; a son, Ronnie; 3 brothers, Harold, Jim and Dickie;
and a sister, Wanda.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Pam Collins and Lisa (Phill) Tipton of England; a son, Marshall, of Conway; 3 grandchildren, Nicky Sladyen, Phillip (Jamie) Tipton and Charles (Megan) Churchwell; 4 great grandchildren, which were his pride and joy, Marjorie and Danielle Tipton and Parker and Noah Churchwell; and a host of extended family and loved ones.
The family would like to especially thank Jamie Jacobs McGraw and Karen Faulkner Henry for their loving care
given to our loved one.
Visitation and funeral will be held at Wilson Robison Funeral Home in England; with the visitation being Tuesday, May 4th, 6:00PM - 8:00PM and funeral being Wednesday, May 5th at 2:00PM. Officiating the services will be Brothers Bobby Alexander and Kenny Ripper. Burial will be at Mulberry Cemetery in England. Pallbearers are: Phillip Tipton, Charles Churchwell, Jim Churchwell, Bubba Williams, Mitchell Tumbleson and David Mackey. Honorary Pallbearers are: Tom Powell, Jamie Jacobs McGraw and Karen Faulkner Henry.
