Misty Michelle (Smith) Herrera

Misty Smith Herrera lost her battle with cancer and was welcomed into her Savior’s arms on Friday, July 1, 2022.  She fought as long as she physically could, but the cancer was too aggressive and her body too weak to continue the fight.  Misty was devoted to her family and made any sacrifice to protect them or make them happy.  She loved to read and was an avid walker and enjoyed walking up to the very end.

Misty was born on December 25, 1976, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Dick and Carla Smith.  Misty was proceded in death by her mother, Carla Smith of Sherwood; her maternal grandparents, Toby and Betty Evans; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Okla Smith, all of England; her uncle, Tony Evans, and her aunt, Patty Scoles.

Misty is survived by her loving husband; Mike Herrera, two sons; Dylan and Evan of Sherwood; daughter, Ashton (Cameron) Hood of Jacksonville; her father, Dick (Sandie) Smith of Vilonia; one brother, Shane (Shelly) Smith of Sherwood; two nieces, Presley Smith and Leah Evans; and nephew, Kolton Smith, as well as many other family members and friends.  Her family would like to acknowledge her closest friend, Amy Brown, for all the help and support, not just during her illness, but through their years of friendship.  Her aunt, Shelly Evans, who was always willing to give her medical advice and check on her any time, day or night.

Visitation will be July 9, 2022, at Victory Baptist Church in Sherwood, Arkansas.  Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.  Misty is in the care of Wilson Robison Funeral Home, 701 Pine Bluff Hwy, England, Arkansas, 72046.  Online condolences can be sent to www.wilsonrobisonfhengland.com
