Ronnie L Parham, 70, of Hazen, went home to be with Jesus June 6th, 2022. Born May 9th, 1952 to Floyd and Gladys Parham, in Humnoke, he was the youngest of three children.
Ronnie gave his life to Jesus in 1979. His love for God and his faith are a legacy he leaves behind for his family. Ronnie was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend, a farmer, an avid hunter, and a musician. He excelled at all of these, but most importantly he was a child of the King and he loved to worship through music. He taught himself to play the guitar at a young age and he could make the strings of a guitar talk. He loved to sing and made many memories with his family and friends around campfires and living rooms singing and playing the guitar.
Ronnie was a family man and always put the needs of his family before his own. He believed in hard work and honesty and taught those values to his daughter who was and will always be Daddy’s girl. Never one to be idle, he loved the outdoors. Whether it was fishing with his brother, herding cattle with his wife and longtime family friend Renee, or maintaining farm equipment with his son-in-law (Ronnie called it supervising), he loved fresh air and sunshine and would be outdoors at every opportunity.
He loved his boys, Boomer and Chigger, who stayed by his side for comfort throughout his illness.
Ronnie was kind man. Through his kidney disease he was given the opportunity to meet many people and though he often felt tired and worn, his spirits were good and he loved to joke. He made friends easily during his treatments and thought a lot of his nurses at DaVita.
He was a parishioner of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of Highway 86 Gospel Band until his health began to decline; even then his faith remained strong. Ronnie touched a lot of lives and anyone who know him, knew he loved the Lord. He has fought the good fight and finished the race. Ronnie is now resting at the feet of Jesus.
He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd Parham and Gladys Brown, sister Patsy Ann Friends, and niece, Katrina Lynn Parham.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mickey Parham, daughter Misty (Dean) White of Lonoke, brother: Jim (Sharon) Parham of Cabot, four grandchildren: Darren White of Lonoke, Shelbi (Ben) Wiltz of Willaford, Brandi (Todd) Thornberry of Bearden, Shannon (Martin) Roswell of Maumelle, twelve great-grandchildren: Matthew, Wyatt, Grace, Bodean, Seth, Alexis, Kaylee, Madison, Melanie, Addison, Audree, and Harper, nephew: Chad (Leslie) Parham of Florida, one great nephew, Nathan and one great niece Lauren.
