Sarah Shawnti Groves

Sarah Shawnti (Downs) Groves, 47, passed away peacefully in her sleep January 22, 2019 at her home in Harrison, Arkansas. She was born on January 3, 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Dale Downs  and Louise McAnany. Sarah loved in Omaha, Kodiak, Bellingham. Washington and Johnstown, Iowa and South Dakota. She married  Glen Bartels and later divorced. She had 5 children by her marriages. She was preceded in death by her husband, David, daughter Jordan, her parents and grandparents, Frances and Aaron Downs and Art McAnany.

She is survived by her stepfather, Terry Haney, siblings Nick Haney and Jill Shaw, Kyle, her grandmother Nancy McAnany, her aunt Kathy Downs (Jim Westbrook), aunts Jean Wright, Donna Taft, Ellen Rogers and uncles Dennis Downs and Bill McAnany, cousins Stacy Downs-Daniels, Cindy (Downs) Mazur, Mary Pat Mangiamelli and Michelle Terrell and many nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held later in Omaha, Nebraska. Donations in Sarah's memory can be made to the Ozark Humane Society og Harrison or the Jasper Christian Food Room in Jasper, Arkansas. Sarah loved cats. She had a big heart. She loved all in her own inimitable way. She will be missed. She already is.

Cremation entrusted to Wilson Robison Funeral Home in England, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held in Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday,  May 18 from 11:00 a.m at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home 5701 Center Street, Omaha NE. followed by a luncheon from 11 a..m.. till 1:00 p.m. p.m. at Petrows 5914 Center Street.
