Sean Garrett Mapes

Sean Garrett Mapes, age 35 of Spring, Texas. Passed away unexpectedly Friday June 19, 2020 in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Sean was born August 30, 1984 in Houston, Texas to Steve Mapes and Diane Bell Mapes. Sean had a good and kind heart, did for others, he was a people person and loved his nieces  and nephews. He was very adventurous and loved to travel. He worked in New Orleans for eight years in the restaurant business and bartender. Basketball was Sean's love and he also loved music especially Reggae because it hit his soul. Sean will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his brother Eric Mapes, grandfathers, Clayton Eugene Bell and Robert Mapes, grandmother, Clehma Pilkington Mapes, uncles Donald Skankel and David Orr.

Sean is survived by his daughter, Emaree Paige Mapes-Young; father, Steve Mapes of Spring, Texas; mother, Diana Mapes of Michagin City, Indiana; brother, Matthew Steven Mapes of Spring Texas; sister, Danel Walker; brother inlaw, Robert Walker; nieces, Sedona and Serinity Walker all of Japan; aunts, Sherry Beimer of San Deigo, CA, Carol Mapes of Fort Madison, Iowa, and Barbara Mapes Zumdone of Ft. Madison, Iowa; uncle, Ronald Zumdome of Ft. Madison, Iowa;
