Vivly Frankie Burns Cross, born 2 May 1924, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, gained her heavenly wings 29 April, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents , father Covie Burns, mother, Fannie Bell/Burns, husband George Marion Cross . Three sisters, Georgia, Lajune and Fern, 3 brothers, Joel, Jewel and Calvin.
She is survived by her three children, Pearleen Colosky of SunSet, AZ; Alan Cross of Waterford, MI; and Charlotte Conley (husband Tony Conley) of Austin, AR. She also had 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 37 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cross was young, vibrant and full of mischief when she moved from Oklahoma to Arkansas and met the love of her life and married George Cross 15 Nov of 1941. Not long after, they were blessed with a baby girl and life as a family began. Their family grew in size with two more. Soon they moved from Arkansas to Michigan where they setup home for the next 28 yrs before returning home to Arkansas.
Vivly was a Christian woman and had a heart of gold, always gave without question. She always put someone in need above herself. She gave to her church, her neighbors and most of all her family. She opened her home and cared for her handicapped brother for 40 years, then she traveled every day to her nephew’s home to clean and cook for him until his demise. She loved going to church and praising God. She never turned away an opportunity to share and discuss his word with anyone. Her walk here on earth will be remembered for many years to come.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 6 May 2021, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wilson Robison Funeral Home Pine Bluff Hwy England, AR.
Services will be held Friday,7 May 2021, 2:00 PM at Wilson Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery in England. Officiating Rev Calvin King.
